Planroom Service The KBE operates a state-of-the-art planroom where plans and specifications are easily accessible for members desiring to take off quantities and submit quotations. These plans deal with commercial, industrial, public works, and governmental construction projects throughout East Tennessee and the surrounding region. Addenda and attachments are carefully recorded. Daily Project Summary sheets listing current plans on file, bid dates, addenda received and location in the planroom are available in the lobby. |

KBE PrintShop The KBE PrintShop offers copies of plans and specifications of all projects that are currently on file in the KBE Planroom, as well as the ability to copy from documents supplied by members. All documents for current projects are scanned and stored electronically to provide quick turn around on most orders. The PrintShop also maintains an electronic archive of documents from past projects back to 1999. Other services include project documents on CD-ROM and scanning of blueprints & specifications for archival purposes, as well as fax and email services. |

KBE PowerBid
KBE PowerBid is an internet reporting service that provides quick access to complete information
on local and regional construction projects. Examples of the information provided include owner/design team contact
info, project scope and bid information, and lists of bidders for every project. KBE PowerBid also includes
complete access to plans, specifications, and addenda, all from the convenience of your computer.
Updated in real-time, KBE PowerBid is the area's fastest and most accurate source for construction news,
information, and project documents.

Private Projects
Private Projects is a service provided by the KBE that allows general contractors, construction managers,
architects and engineers to distribute plans and specs electronically, saving the cost and hassle of
reproduction and distribution. With Private Projects, document access is provided only to the subcontractors
and suppliers who have been given an access code by the general contractor. The system also includes
an Invitation to Bid feature that makes it easy to inform selected subcontractors and suppliers about the
project and a bidder tracking log to show which subcontractors and suppliers accessed the project documents
online. Private Projects can save both time and money by streamlining the document distribution process.
General contractors, construction managers, architects and engineers interested in the system should
contact the KBE for more information, while subcontractors and suppliers can simply
go to our Private Projects page to register for immediate access.
Construction Bulletin
Members of the KBE receive a construction bulletin that lists current plans and specifications
available, bid dates, addenda received, prospective, low and awarded bidders, etc. The bulletin is
normally published four times each week, but may vary according to the information available. Members
have their choice of delivery by email, fax, or postal mail.

Reservation Service
The KBE provides a reservation service for overnight or weekend use of plans and specifications. Plans
reserved can be picked up between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and returned the following
business day before 8:30 am.
R. S. Means Publications
The Knoxville Builders Exchange serves as a retail outlet for the full line of R.S. Means cost data and estimating publications.

Retirement Plans
The KBE endorses qualified retirement plans for its members. These competitive
programs include all services necessary to adopt and maintain a qualified plan for an extremely low annual cost.
Job Board
As a convenience for our members, the KBE provides an online board
for posting job advertisements. You can find the job board here, or by clicking the "Jobs" link
in our menu bar at the top of the screen. If your company is planning on hiring in the near future and would like to advertise
the job(s) on our site, just complete this form online and we will post the job offering
for you.
Membership Directory & Buyers Guide
A membership directory that includes an alphabetical listing of current members, addresses, telephone
numbers and contact representatives is published by KBE and is
available online. The printed directory also includes a Buyers Guide that
contains a classification of the various construction services, materials, supplies and equipment
handled by members of the Exchange.
