Warning About Sharing PowerBid Usernames & Passwords

For some time now, BXTN has recognized that some of our members do not respect the Conditions Agreement that all agree to when accessing our PowerBid service, specifically the parts regarding the sharing of usernames and passwords. To make our stance on this perfectly clear, BXTN would like to make the following statements:

You must be a member in good standing of BXTN in order to access our PowerBid service; if you are not a member and are logging in with someone else's credentials, you are stealing.
Any BXTN member sharing PowerBid usernames and passwords will have their membership cancelled, immediately and permanently.
Any non-member using stolen login credentials has proven themselves to be untrustworthy and will be denied membership in BXTN, now or at any time in the future.

We currently have a method of tracking down members who have shared their usernames and passwords with others, but to be completely honest, the system is rudimentary and the process is very time consuming. Because of this, we will be implementing the following new technologies in the coming months to put a stop to all username & password sharing:

First, we will contact each member firm directly to change all passwords for all employees within that firm.
Second, we will implement a new password management system that forces users to change their passwords monthly from within the PowerBid website.
Third, we will implement a new access control system which ties a username to a physical computer, disallowing access from a different computer. A reasonable number of physical computer licenses will be included with your existing PowerBid subscription; additional licenses will be available for an added fee.

We truly regret implementing these restrictive policies and procedures, but our hand has been forced by those among us that are dishonest, both in the sharing and using of usernames & passwords. If you are a non-member who has been using a member's access, please contact us immediately for a reprieve - we will allow you amnesty if you become a member before our new technologies are implemented and you are caught in the act of stealing.
